In theory, I should have posted this a week ago. Whoops! It's been on my social media pages, and I just kind of blanked when it came to posting here.
I wanted to participate in Sketchtember this year. If you're unfamiliar, it is a month long "challenge" of different daily drawing prompts in September for sketching in whatever sketch style you choose. Pencil, pen, marker, watercolor, etc, etc, you get the point. I didn't particularly feel enthused about any of the sketch prompt lists I saw for this year, so I made my own prompt list.
Here it is, Emily's Sketchtember 2023 prompt list.
Even if you don't share your sketches with me (which, yes, would be awesome, and I would love to see what you create), use it as a way to practice daily. Make something -- daily. Create daily. Even a little practice every day goes a long way. Trust me, I know. My own skill grew by leaps and bounds by sketching nearly every day for three months during the Pittsburgh Synagogue Trial.
I've done Days 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 so far. I haven't done Day 6 yet, and probably won't until tonight since I have some freelance to finish and orders to fill first.
