Courtroom Sketching
I began my work as a courtroom sketch artist in 2019 covering legal proceedings in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, for our local broadcast news. Since then, my work has taken me into courtrooms outside of the city I call home , including Washington D.C., where I have documented nationally significant cases for news and media organizations.
Working live from a seat in the courtroom, I capture the people, atmosphere, and pivotal moments of legal proceedings as they unfold in my own style. My courtroom sketches are created primarily on toned paper using a combination of alcohol ink markers, colored pencils, soft pastels, and a variety of ink pens.
